This project was assigned to high school students in grade 9 at Francis Lewis High School to assess their understanding in the systems of linear, linear-quadratic equations/inequalities to meet the following objectives:
Students will be able to design a mathematical model to describe of a systems of functions using mathematical concepts and language. (Conceptual Understanding)
Students will be able to use appropriate tools (graphically and algebraically) to solve systems of functions. (Procedural Fluency)
Students will be able to draw conclusions and interpret their mathematical results in the context of the situation. (Mathematical Reasoning Skills)
